Do You Know How You Are Voting On Question 3?

As a reminder, our September General Meeting, TONIGHT, will feature a panel discussion and endorsement vote opportunity for Question 3 on the ballot this fall. As you may know, this initiative – in favor of switching to a consumer-owned power utility – has the potential to greatly impact how we get our electricity here in Portland. We’d like to invite you to join us to discuss this proposal and take the opportunity to make our voices heard via possible endorsement votes, on both affirmative and negative positions.

Below, we invite you to meet the candidates* and learn a bit more about Question 3. We hope to see you soon!

Meg Harned (she/her)

Chair, PDCC

* Correction: In my last email, I noted that panelist Jim Cohen works with Charlotte Warren Consulting. This is not the case; apologies! Please see below for more information.

MEET THE PANELISTS!

Question 3 Resources from Lucy

Lucy Hochschartner grew up in a rural area and saw firsthand how extractive industries could decimate local communities. This led to a passion for bringing people together to build powerful, grassroots movements. She knows community-owned power is the most important step we can take toward economic and climate justice and is excited to serve as Pine Tree Power’s deputy campaign manager.

When she’s not out knocking doors, you can find her skiing or running around Portland, ME.
