Next PDCC Meeting: Feb. 6

Please join the Portland Dems for our next general meeting, rescheduled from the snowed-out January meeting:

PDCC Monthly Meeting
Thursday, February 6, 6:30 – 8:00 PM
East End Community School

We will be hearing from Rep. Erik Jorgensen at the meeting about the state budget, and will also have an important discussion about the upcoming caucus. In addition, we will hold an election for Vice Chair of the PDCC. Evan LeBrun is running for the position, and he will be posting some info about his candidacy on Facebook. Other candidates are of course welcome to run, and to do the same. Nominations will be taken from the floor. In keeping with bylaws requirements, I have appointed Evan as the acting Vice Chair until the election.

It’s now 2020, and your involvement in the Portland Dems is more important now than ever. Whether it’s your first or fiftieth meeting, we really hope you’ll consider coming out and getting involved – so we can keep Augusta blue, defeat Collins and Trump, and win back the country. Please also plan to attend the Portland caucus on March 8; more information and advance registration is online here:

Hope to see you on the 6th!

Portland Democratic Caucus – March 8!

Calling all Portland Democrats!

Come to the Portland Democratic Caucus on March 8 at King Middle School to learn how to win in 2020 – by defeating Susan Collins, winning back the White House, and keeping Augusta blue!

This year, the presidential nominee will be decided by a primary election on March 3; however, the caucus is still an important event. Delegates to the State Convention will be elected at the caucus (and at the State Convention, delegates to the National Convention will be chosen), and the caucus will mark the formal kick-off of our 2020 campaign efforts.

Doors to the caucus open at 11:30am and the caucus starts at 1:00pm sharp at King Middle School at 92 Deering Ave. in Portland. The snow date for the caucus is March 15. Can you volunteer with us to make the event a success?

So come out to stand up and be counted with fellow local Democrats, to learn about voter registration and turnout plans, and hear from many exciting speakers! Reach out to us with any questions:, and pre-register for the caucus here (not necessary to attend). See you on March 8!
