A lot has happened since our last meeting in December: the new Congress has begun their legislative session, Governor Mills has been sworn in, and just today President Trump declared a clearly unconstitutional national emergency to fund his border wall without Congressional approval.
With so many things to fight for and defend against, it’s more important than ever to get involved with the Portland Democrats. Because today was Valentine’s Day, we’re meeting on the third Thursday of the month, which is next week!
This is the first meeting in a series where we will be rotating through locations across Portland, and spending time discussing hyper-local issues in addition to our regular business. This first meeting will be focusing on the East End, which is District 1 for the City Council.
Time: Thursday, February 21, 6:30pm – 8pm.
Location: East End Community Center, 195 North Street, Portland, ME 04101
