Register now for Thursday’s vote on Tribal Sovereignty

This Thursday, Portland Dems will use our meeting to discuss and consider two important endorsements. Your participation and voice will help decide if the Portland Democrats endorse these positions!

Do you support Tribal Sovereignty and want our elected leaders to pass LD 1626 into law?

Do you support teaching Black History and the history of the Holocaust in our schools?

These are the two topics we will discuss and consider endorsing. Please register for the virtual Zoom meeting on Feb. 17 to be part of these important votes!

Two Ways to Volunteer with Democrats:

1. Join Portland Senator Ben Chipman and other volunteers in Back Cove this Saturday Feb. 19 at 9:30am to knock on some doors and gather ballot signatures for Democratic candidates, including Governor Janet Mills and Congresswoman Chellie Pingree!

RSVP: Call or text (207) 318-4961 or email: votechipman@gmail.com

2. Sign up to represent Portland as a Delegate at the State Convention in May! Participating in the convention is a great way to join with other volunteers and activists around the state in making sure our Maine Democratic Party reflects our values. Any registered Democrat can sign up! This year you can participate 100% virtually from home, or in-person in Bangor!
