Our monthly Portland Dems meeting will take place next Thursday, April 21st, from 6:30p to 8:00p over Zoom:

Please join us, as there are a bunch of exciting items on the agenda!

These include:

– Electing a new PDCC Chair Have you ever thought about getting involved with PDCC leadership? Are you passionate about local Democratic organizing efforts in an important election year? Here’s your chance!

– Planning our June 18th “Big Organizing Event” at Urban Farm Fermentory We’ll be discussing the schedule and logistics and would love your input and help putting together this event.

– Getting energized for the State Democratic Convention! Are you a State Delegate for this year’s Convention, or just interested in learning about what the State Democratic Convention is and how you can participate?

Come by and hear from folks who have been there before! We’ll also work on coordinating our efforts leading into Convention events next month!

Find the full agenda HERE! We look forward to seeing you there.

This year we have two Democratic candidates for Cumberland County District Attorney (DA) running in the June primary election. Please join our PDCC March meeting today, Sunday March 20th, to meet the candidates, discuss the issues, and ask them your questions.

In a democratic society, these DA elections are one way that we the people have a say in how our laws are enforced. From promoting alternatives to incarceration for juveniles, to addressing racial bias in the criminal system, to investigating Trump for trying to steal an election (as is the case for Georgia’s Fulton County DA Fani Willis), our elected District Attorneys make decisions that can play a large role in advancing justice and upholding our democracy.
