Join the Portland Dems on Thursday!

Join the Portland Democratic City Committee for our next monthly meeting on Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 PM, happening virtually via Zoom. The focus of the meeting will be the impact of this health crisis on Portland’s immigrant communities, and we will be hearing from City Councilor Pious Ali, Crystal Cron who runs Presente! Maine, and other interesting speakers.

Please RSVP for the meeting here, and the full agenda for the meeting with minutes from the April meeting that we will vote to approve is here.

See you Thursday!

Donate to Clean Elections Democrats!

Due to the global health crisis, Democratic candidates are having a difficult time collecting the required number of Clean Elections donations without canvassing.

Please consider making a $5 donation today to the Clean Elections Democrats running to represent you:

It only takes a couple minutes to give and is a great way to simultaneously support campaign finance reform, Democratic candidates, and equal representation!

Join us on Thursday!

Even in the midst of a global health crisis, democracy must go on, and our efforts to win back the Senate and White House feel more urgent now than ever.

Please join us for our next monthly (virtual!) meeting on Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 PM with Maine State Senator and owner of Rising Tide Brewing Company, Heather Sanborn.  Senator Sanborn, who chairs the Committee on Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services, will discuss the Legislature’s efforts to lower health care costs and make it more accessible for all Mainers.  RSVP for the meeting here!  Once you RSVP, we will send you instructions on how to join the meeting.

Additionally, Ryder Kessler, the Director of Voter Protection for the Maine Democratic Party, will join our meeting to discuss voter protection and election security efforts in light of COVID-19. We will also be holding an election for our vacant position of Treasurer if anyone is interested.

You won’t want to miss our meeting on Thursday – please RSVP today!
