Stacy Mitchell has led efforts for years to fight corporate control and build thriving, equitable communities through her organization, the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. She co-authored a report in 2016 on “Amazon’s stranglehold” on the U.S. economy, and was profiled by the New York Times earlier this year for her leadership in building a broad coalition to challenge Amazon.
